ABOUT US
Friends of Rouge Park (FORP) is a non-profit organization founded in 2002 by people passionate about the future of Detroit’s largest park. We develop partnerships with community stakeholders and park user groups to advocate for the maintenance, improvement, and protection of the natural and recreational amenities of the park. We sponsor and co-sponsor volunteer work days, events, and activities.

OUR MISSION
To protect, restore, and promote a natural, environmentally healthy, and culturally vibrant Rouge Park that engages the community for the benefit and enjoyment of all

Friends of Rouge Park does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), physical or mental ability, marital status, sexual orientation, military status, or any other status or characteristic protected by federal, state, or local law.  This applies to hiring and firing of staff, selection of volunteers and vendors, and provision of programs and services.  We are committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all members, volunteers, staff, contractors, and vendors.
