D-TOWN FARMS

Detroit Black Food Sovereignty Network
(DBCFSN) operates D-TOWN Farm, a seven acre organic farm in Rouge Park where they grow 30 different fruits, vegetables and herbs that are sold at farmers markets and to wholesale customers, including the Detroit People's Food Coop. The farm features four hoop houses for extended-season growing, bee-keeping, large-scale composting, farm tours, workshops and an annual harvest festival.

The Detroit Black Community Food Sovereignty Network (DBCFSN) was established to ensure that Detroit's African American population plays a significant role in the local food movement. Through their initiatives, they strive to create sustainable, equitable food systems and advocate for policies that address the unique challenges faced by Black communities in Detroit and beyond

Join DBCFSN at their weekly volunteer days at the farm!

Check out the farm, learn more and meet the amazing crew at one of their upcoming events and volunteer days. More info about DBCSFN and D-Town found on their website.
