His expertise includes grant compliance and financial oversight, stakeholder and community engagement, fundraising, program supervision, outcome evaluation and Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR).

A proud Detroiter and graduate of Henry Ford High School, Allen earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Michigan State University’s Eli Broad College of Business and a master’s degree in administration from Central Michigan University. Beyond his professional work, he has volunteered for many years as a football and lacrosse coach and remains passionate about mentoring student-athletes in life skills and leadership development.
