This 1927 photo was taken from near the northeast corner of Rouge Park Drive and Spinoza Drive, not far from the Growing Together sculpture garden, looking southeast over the Rouge River toward Scout Hollow. The fill had been laid and graded for the new park road (named Spinoza Drive after Benedict Spinoza five years later in 1932). The bridge over the river was built soon after this photo was taken.
